Where is data stored?

All client data is stored on enterprise-grade cloud platforms used by millions of businesses globally, including Fortune 500 companies. Our infrastructure includes built-in security, DDoS protection, and automatic failover.

Encryption

In transit: All data travels over encrypted connections using the same standards as banks.
At rest: All stored data is encrypted using industry-standard encryption.
Credentials: All sensitive keys and secrets are encrypted and never exposed to the browser.

Authentication

Every request requires industry-standard authentication tokens. The browser never talks to the database directly — everything goes through a secure, authenticated API layer. Each adviser can only access their own clients.

Who can see my client data?

Only you. Client data is filtered by your authenticated login. No other adviser can access your clients. We don't sell, share, or use client data for any purpose other than generating your documents.

AI & Data Retention

Our AI provider operates a zero data retention policy for API usage. Your client data is processed to generate the document and immediately discarded. It is never stored by the AI provider or used to train AI models.

Compliance

Paraplanr is committed to compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Users may request deletion of their account and all associated data at any time by contacting support@paraplanr.com.

PARAPLANR — TERMS OF USE & PRIVACY POLICY Last Updated: 6 April 2026 1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS By creating an account, signing up for, accessing, or using Paraplanr ("the Platform"), you ("the User", "Adviser") agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Creating an account constitutes your acceptance of these Terms in full. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not create an account or use the Platform. 2. NATURE OF THE PLATFORM Paraplanr is a software tool designed to assist Australian Financial Services Licensees (AFSLs) and their Authorised Representatives with the preparation of paraplanning documents including Statements of Advice (SOAs), Records of Advice (ROAs), fact finds, risk profiles, and related financial planning documents. 2.1 Paraplanr does NOT provide financial advice. All content generated by the Platform is intended as a draft for review, editing, and approval by a qualified, licensed financial adviser before being provided to any client. 2.2 The User acknowledges that they hold the appropriate AFSL or are an Authorised Representative of an AFSL, and that they are solely responsible for ensuring all advice documents comply with the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), ASIC Regulatory Guides, the Financial Adviser Standards and Ethics Authority (FASEA) Code of Ethics, and their own AFSL conditions. 3. AI-GENERATED CONTENT DISCLAIMER 3.1 The Platform uses artificial intelligence (AI) to generate draft content. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or content that does not comply with current legislation or your AFSL requirements. 3.2 The User MUST review, verify, and approve all AI-generated content before use. Paraplanr accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or regulatory action arising from the use of unreviewed AI-generated content. 3.3 AI-generated investment strategies, risk profiles, and projections are illustrative only and do not constitute personal financial advice. They must be reviewed and validated by the Adviser against the client's actual circumstances. 4. USER RESPONSIBILITIES 4.1 The User is solely responsible for: (a) The accuracy and completeness of all client data entered into the Platform; (b) Reviewing and approving all documents before they are provided to clients; (c) Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and AFSL conditions; (d) Maintaining appropriate Professional Indemnity insurance; (e) Obtaining informed consent from clients for the collection and processing of their personal information through the Platform. 4.2 The User must not use the Platform to: (a) Provide financial advice to clients without appropriate authorisation; (b) Generate documents for unlicensed or unauthorised purposes; (c) Store or process information in breach of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) or the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). 5. PRIVACY & DATA HANDLING 5.1 Paraplanr collects and stores personal information including but not limited to: adviser details, client names, contact information, dates of birth, financial information, risk profile responses, and document content. 5.2 All data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption and hosted on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. 5.3 Client data entered into the Platform is processed by AI services for the purpose of generating document drafts. By using the Platform, you confirm that you have obtained appropriate consent from your clients for this processing. Our AI provider operates a zero data retention policy — your data is not stored or used to train AI models. 5.4 Paraplanr will not sell, rent, or share User or client data with third parties except as required by law or as necessary to provide the Platform's services (e.g., AI processing, email delivery). 5.5 Users may request deletion of their account and associated data by contacting support@paraplanr.com. 5.6 Paraplanr is committed to compliance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. 6. RISK PROFILES & INVESTMENT TOOLS 6.1 The risk profile questionnaire, model portfolios, retirement projections, and income analysis tools are provided as general information only and are not personal financial advice. 6.2 These tools use standard Australian industry benchmarks (aligned with SuperRatings, APRA Standard Risk Measures, and ASFA retirement standards) but may not reflect current market conditions or individual circumstances. 6.3 The Adviser must independently verify all risk profile results and investment recommendations against the client's full financial situation, needs, and objectives. 7. ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES & CLIENT PORTALS 7.1 Documents signed electronically through the Platform are intended to record the client's acknowledgment. The User is responsible for ensuring electronic signatures meet the requirements of the Electronic Transactions Act 1999 (Cth) and any applicable state/territory legislation. 7.2 Client-facing portals (fact finds, risk profiles, file uploads) use PIN-based authentication. The Adviser is responsible for securely communicating PINs to clients. 8. SUBSCRIPTION & PAYMENT 8.1 Access to the Platform requires an active subscription. Subscription fees are billed monthly at the current published rate. 8.2 Paraplanr reserves the right to modify subscription pricing with 30 days' written notice. 8.3 No refunds will be issued for partial months of service. 9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY 9.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paraplanr, its directors, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from: (a) The use or inability to use the Platform; (b) Any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in AI-generated content; (c) Any regulatory action, client complaints, or financial loss resulting from documents generated using the Platform; (d) Any data loss, security breach, or service interruption. 9.2 The User indemnifies Paraplanr against all claims, losses, damages, and expenses arising from the User's use of the Platform, including any breach of these Terms or applicable laws. 10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY 10.1 The Platform, including its design, code, and functionality, is the intellectual property of Paraplanr. 10.2 Documents generated by the User using the Platform are the User's property. Paraplanr retains no ownership rights over User-generated content. 11. TERMINATION 11.1 Either party may terminate the subscription at any time. Upon termination, the User's access to the Platform will cease and stored data will be retained for 90 days before deletion, unless earlier deletion is requested. 12. GOVERNING LAW These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland. 13. CHANGES TO TERMS Paraplanr reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. 14.
